Some of the ladies who were there asked me about the delicious pesto asiago bread I brought. I wish I could take credit for it, but it came from one of my favorite local bakeries: http://springmillbread.com.

Had I had access to an oven the morning of our book club, I would have cooked up a squash pie-- here's how:
-Make or buy your favorite 9" pie crusts (2)
-Take a quart of jarred yellow squash
-In a bowl combine your squash with 3 eggs, 3 TBL spoons of butter, a little vanilla extract, and some cinnamon.
- add ~cup of flour and ~1.5 cups of sugar
- mix well and pour into the pie crusts
-bake at 350 for 35-45 min
-whip up some cream (with some powdered sugar and a splash of bourbon)
- cut a slice, plop on a dollop of whipped cream and enjoy! :)
(makes two pies)

Check out www.repax.com
We are a local, sustainable packing and moving solution. Essentially, we have replaced the cardboard box when you're moving.
I'd love to speak with you more about we can be involved with Eco Women DC. We are a sponsor for the 2012 Environmental Film Festival, I hope to see you there!
